I remember when I played casually for a few years at the local card
club in London and I kept noticing in tournaments that I always ended
up being the short stack, and always getting knocked out by being bad
beat. I couldn’t work out why some people would always get a huge chip
lead, and I would whittle away with no hands.
Playing small ball is the perfect solution. It is a style in which you
approach poker face on from a confident angle, with its philosophy of
playing more hands, but playing them well. It relies less so on the

Since joining, I’ve managed to win more tournaments then before,
